Happy Birthday Langston Hughes!
Many people know Langston Hughes as a poet, but his talents were far more numerous, his experiences much more diverse. Langston Hughes was a traveler, an activist, a dreamer, a visionary. He was tremendously accomplished, but his accomplishments didn't come easily.Inspired by the centennial celebration of his birth, Langston's Legacy was written to help generate in young readers an interest in Hughes' diverse talents, work and accomplishments.
The book also seeks to shed light on this tremendous fortitude and perseverance, which, arguably, were equally instrumental in developing his legacy.
